This site was originally conceived as a heady mix of seventies nostalgia and railways, memorable musical releases combined with photos from Pete Piszczek and myself. Then I noticed Rail Express magazine had been doing something similar in their most excellent 'Rattle & Roll Years' series, which kind of took the wind out of my sails.
I might still develop things along those lines one day, who knows? Meanwhile, the following years of the decade were featured in Rail Express - highly recommended to students of the seventies:
